Breckenridge Resort

A truly unique destination in Colorado, Breckenridge has a distinctive energy.

Spread across the 5 peaks that make up the southern half of the Tenmile Range, Breckenridge has always been a favorite destination amongst both locals and tourists.

A mountain town in the truest sense of the word, downtown Breckenridge boasts a wide array of restaurants, shops, bars, boutiques, cafes and lodging, as well as direct access to the mountain, allowing you to be car-free once you arrive.

For guests seeking a ski-in/ski-out experience, Breckenridge has a wide variety of accommodation options, from grand, slope-side estates, to cozy condos.

Discover Breckenridge

In order to reach Breckenridge Resort from out of state, guests have the option to either fly to Colorado’s largest airport, Denver International, or to Eagle County Regional Airport. Denver International is 104 miles east of Breckenridge, and the journey takes roughly 2 hours, while Eagle County is 63 miles away.

Unlike most ski resorts, Breckenridge is not divided up into separate villages, rather it is a genuine, historic mountain town. Before the first slopes were cut in 1961, Breckenridge was founded by prospectors in November 1859 after the discovery of gold deposits during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush. Its frontier past is still present today in the town’s architecture, with several buildings still standing. All of Breckenridge’s mines are now closed, however some have been requisitioned as tourist attractions. Breckenridge Resort developed gradually between 1961 until the present day, adding new peaks and building additional lifts along the way. Today it sprawls across 5 peaks, 34 lifts and 187 ski runs.
