Discover Deer Valley
Deer Valley ski resort Utah is one of the last skier-only destinations in the Wasatch mountains. This resort is famous for setting the highest standard in luxury amenities and customer service. This is exemplified by the curbside valet, complimentary parking and shuttle service to Snow Park Lodge and complimentary ski storage. Deer ranks number two in Ski Mag’s Resort Ranking in the western United States for 2021. The Deer Valley champagne sabering ceremony at the St. Regis is a signature ritual that dates back to the battles of Napoleon Bonaparte.
When you arrive at Salt Lake City International Airport, you have a short and easy 45 minute drive to Deer Valley. Deer Valley Resort, once called Snowpark, became a popular spot for the adventurous. All skis were handmade, long pieces of wood that would strap on to boots. At the time, there were no gondolas or chair lifts, so you’d have to walk up to the top of the mountain to ski down. Later, in 1981, Deer Valley officially opened. Stein Eriksen became the head ski instructor for the resort, and later the Stein Eriksen Lodge hotel was named in his honor.

And in winter, take on exciting activities in the Deer Valley Resort such as snowmobiling, sleigh rides, ice skating, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, tubing and snowshoeing. The best restaurants in Deer Valley, such as Rime Deer Valley, Powder Run and The Brass Tag will appeal to patrons with a discerning palate. You must try the amazing Deer Valley turkey chilli which is a local specialty offered in local restaurants. To experience the ultimate in luxury pampering, visit the St Regis Deer Valley Spa and the Montage Deer Valley Spa.

The heartbeat of Deer Valley
The base area of Deer Valley is called SnowPark. There is an abundance of lodging here, including ski-in/ski-out options. If you are looking to attend ski school, this is a perfect option. There is also a free shuttle that can take you there if your accommodations aren’t ski-in/ski-out. There is also dining here, from high-end at St Regis, or the more low-key SnowPark Restaurant. In the summer, live concerts fill the air.
Silver Lake
Up the mountain is Silver Lake, also home to many dining and lodging options. In terms of accommodation, guests have the option of budget-friendly as well as ultra-luxurious lodging. You can find the famous Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley here too! From a skiing perspective, guests can enjoy many blue runs and some green runs too. Many locals insist that this is their favorite place to ski.

Perfect for skiers of all abilities

Cozy and spacious!
Photos and reviews don’t do this rental justice. Cozy and spacious at the same time. Everything seems new and it’s well appointed. Cooking? The kitchen has almost everything you’d have at home. Weber Grill on the patio. SOFT ROBES in the master. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this condo.

Perfect location!
Our family had a fabulous long Labor Day weekend! Perfect location within walking distance to BC Village but far enough that you were closer to slopes/nature. The Travel Whisperer was very helpful with booking tours & we had everything we needed & more. Enjoyed having a drink on patio and watching leaves begin to turn.

Deer Valley vs Park City
Whilst Deer Valley and Park City are seemingly one and the same, there are crucial differences between the two areas. Despite their proximity to each other, each boasts its own unique atmosphere, accommodations and amenities. Deer Valley’s privacy and seclusion is the most notable difference to the hustle and bustle of Park City and its Main Street. For skiers, Deer Valley offers a more relaxed, beginner-friendly environment, with Park City providing a more varied, advanced level of terrain.
Things to do in Deer Valley
Deer Valley is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream destination! In the summer, guests can enjoy horseback riding, ATVing, rafting, farmer’s markets, fly fishing, golf, hot air ballooning, zip lining, mountain coasters, the Utah Olympic Park and more! And in winter, take on two ski resorts, as well as snowmobiling, sleigh rides, ice skating, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, tubing and snowshoeing. Park City town is also close by, where there are plenty of great restaurants to explore, spas to relax in, and a museum about the town’s history. Main Street boasts an array of dining options, from casual dinner to fine dining, and is very large compared to other mountain towns.
