The Eagle Bahn Gondola provides access to Vail mountain, including Adventure Ridge and Eagle’s Nest. Adventure Ridge is entertainment for all the family including non-skiers. Take the scenic gondola ride up to the fun zone and then try out the tubing or snow biking or the mountain coaster. There are some age and height restrictions, so be sure to check these out to avoid disappointment. For those who just want to watch, there are some great Lionshead Vail restaurants, including Bistro Fourteen which features a full bar as well as casual American dining for lunch and dinner. Enjoy a glass of bubbly while you survey the impressive expanse of the Mount of the Holy Cross.
Ski School has an operation at the base of the Eagle Bahn gondola, making Lionshead a convenient family location.
Lionshead is minutes away from Vail Village using the complimentary Town of Vail bus that operates year round from early morning till well into the night. In the summer, we highly recommend walking the half-mile or so biking path along Gore Creek so you can savor the dappled light and charming views of the creek. Your doggy companions will love dipping in and out of the water in search of canine adventure.
