A Typical Day
Guests at Bisate Lodge awaken to breathtaking views of the volcanoes Bisoke and Karisimbi. A nourishing breakfast then follows, designed to fuel you for the gorilla trek. With only a short drive to the park headquarters, guests embark on an adventure to observe one of the 12 habituated mountain gorilla groups present in Volcanoes National Park. Once the trek has finished, you will return to the lodge where staff offer refreshments, as well as the option of an in-room massage to ease any post-hike fatigue.
Afternoons at Bisate can be spent indulging in farm-to-table dining, with dishes featuring local ingredients like avocado, passion fruit and macadamia nuts, all sourced from the lodge’s own gardens. For a more conservation-led experience, guests can participate in Bisate’s reforestation program by planting a tree or exploring the lodge’s nursery. In the evening, a delicious three-course dinner awaits, with the option to enjoy a private wine tasting in the lodge’s elegant wine cellar.

Low Season
