Overview

Loapi Tented Camp is a luxurious safari camp located in the Twsalu Kalahari Reserve, itself situated in the Northern Cape; renowned for its stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife.

Guest have a unique and immersive safari experience, combining the comforts of modern amenities with the thrill of being in the wilderness. The camp consists of six elegant, spacious tented ‘homes’ that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

Guests can enjoy a variety of experiences, including guided game drives, bush walks, and bird watching excursions, led by experienced rangers and guides. The park is home to a wide array of wildlife, including the Big Five, as well as numerous species of antelope, giraffe, zebra, and more.

Rooms

Loapi offers four one-bedroom homes and two two-bedroom homes, each covering approximately 3200 sq ft and 4600 sq ft respectively, catering to those seeking utmost seclusion during their safari experience.

To ensure complete privacy and tranquility, the six homes are spaced at least 165 ft apart.

Amenities

Designed with sustainability and environmental sensitivity in mind, the tents seamlessly integrate into the natural contours of the valley. Each is equipped with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, and private decks offering panoramic views of the bush.

A dedicated house manager provides personalized service, while all meals are expertly prepared by a private chef.

There is no single ‘best time’ to visit Tswalu. Both summer and winter provide their own unique wildlife viewing opportunities, along with dramatic changes to the landscapes, which is heavily influenced by the presence or absence of water. As a result, pricing remains consistent throughout the year.
