Motse Camp offers an intimate and immersive safari experience amidst indigenous gardens and abundant wildlife. Guests can partake in game drives, guided walks, and horseback riding, exploring the vast, rugged and diverse Kalahari landscape.

The camp emphasizes personalized experiences, fostering a deep connection with the natural environment and its unique inhabitants. Visitors can engage in conservation efforts, learning about the reserve’s commitment to preserving the region’s ecosystem and supporting sustainable tourism practices.

Rooms

The room options at Motse Camp caters to both groups and families, and can house a maximum of 18 adult guests in total. The camp offers 6 legae (suites) for two guests, and 3 family legae accommodating up to four guests, with two bedrooms linked by a living room.

All suites feature en suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers and a freestanding bath (except for the children’s bedrooms).

Amenities

Each legae includes a sitting area with a wood-burning stove, a study area, and a private, shaded veranda furnished with a large daybed.

Guests can enjoy the gourmet snack pantry stocked with homemade treats, as well as a personalized minibar offering a choice of refreshments, including still or sparkling water, soft drinks, beers and spirits. Additionally, guests have access to bean-to-cup coffee and a selection of teas.

There is no single ‘best time’ to visit Tswalu. Both summer and winter provide their own unique wildlife viewing opportunities, along with dramatic changes to the landscapes, which is heavily influenced by the presence or absence of water. As a result, pricing remains consistent throughout the year.
