The lodge features ten hand-built guest bandas, each offering panoramic forest views, where guests can observe playful monkeys and vibrant birdlife. For added convenience, gorilla trekking begins directly from the lodge via a private footpath into the forest. After a day of exploration, guests can relax with the renowned Rungu massage or other treatments at the Humula Forest Spa.

The bandas include either a double bed or twin bed, bedside lamps, a cozy seating area, and an en-suite bathroom with a flushing toilet, twin sinks, and a solar-heated shower offering both hot and cold water.

A Typical Day
The day begins with the sounds of the forest coming to life as guests enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring locally sourced ingredients and rich Ugandan coffee. For those embarking on a gorilla trek, the lodge’s convenient location within walking distance of the park’s visitor center ensures a seamless start. Guides provide a detailed briefing at the center before leading visitors into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to find the gorillas. Guests not trekking can explore nearby trails or take part in a guided walk.
Afternoons offer a chance to relax at the lodge, whether enjoying treatments at the Humula Forest Spa or lounging on the private veranda, watching playful monkeys in the trees. As evening sets in, a three-course dinner is served in the main lodge. The day wraps up with storytelling by the firepit or a peaceful retreat to the comfort of the banda, surrounded by the calming sounds of the forest.
