Rooms

Each cottage is furnished with comfortable beds draped in mosquito nets, and a large en-suite bathroom featuring modern amenities, including hot showers and eco-friendly toiletries.

The verandas attached to each cottage offer a tranquil space to enjoy lake views and unwind. The family cottages, with two separate en-suite bedrooms, are perfect for groups or families and can comfortably sleep up to five people.

A Typical Day

Your day at Elephant Plains Lodge begins with an early morning wake-up call, accompanied by tea or coffee, preparing you for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. This area, known as the “Kobs Mating Ground,” is home to Uganda kobs, lions, buffaloes, and even elephants. After the game drive, guests return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast served on the terrace, overlooking the stunning landscape.

The afternoon can be spent at leisure, perhaps enjoying a swim in the pool or relaxing on the private veranda. In the late afternoon, guests can enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its dense population of hippos and diverse birdlife. Round off the day with a delightful dinner, followed by a relaxing evening around the campfire, before retiring to your cottage.
